Portretten van duiven: Minnebrieven 2016

The series of photographic works portretten van duiven: Minnebrieven (portraits of pigeons: Love Letters) were shown in the Project Room in WIELS, one year after Delanghe’s residency period here. Inspired by the turtledove and other platitudes of love, stretching from Wales to Japan. She brings together two ancient and universal genres—portraiture and the love letter—which she approaches with distance enabling her to establish intimacy within these delicate representations.
