Pilot: Voice and Sound

Voice and sound workshop

The two-day workshop on sound in moving image production combines the discussion of sound recording approaches when working alone with voice recording and voice-artist direction. The workshop is given by actor, director and voice coach Sonia Pastecchia and sound recordist, sound editor and musician Nika Son.

The first day focuses on examples of the workshop leaders’ practices and historic references, to open up the language and scope of the topic, introducing sound and voice as spaces for artistic choices, and practical exercises for using the voice. On the second day, the students split in two groups and get hands on training with one of the presenters.
